Adolfo “Rudy” G. He spent his last days surrounded by family. Adolfo was born February 16th, 1935 in Dahican Camarines Sur, Philippines, to Gavino and Consuelo Carino. He is survived by his wife Patricia B. Carino, and his siblings Asunción Austria, Amparo de Leon, Angel Carino, and Amelia Lerma. He is preceded in death by his other siblings Arturo Carino, Alfonso Carino, and Alberto Carino.
Adolfo was raised in Tabaco, and later, Manila. He graduated from Far Eastern University, Philippines with bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. Shortly after the University, he fell in love with Patricia and they wed on January 29, 1961. They had five children: Celia, Carol, Carlos, Celita, and Conrad. Adolfo moved the family from the Philippines to New York, after receiving a position at the J.P. Morgan & Co., as an Accounting Clerk and later heading up their Bank Reconciliations Division.
Despite the demands of working in Manhattan for over 25 years, he was always on time for dinner with his family. He will be remembered by his grandchildren Roger, Jay C., Caitlin, Christie, Crystal, and Chad, for his stories and playfully unique sense of humor. Some of his favorite activities were playing billiards, chess, mahjong and poker, with his friends. He lived simply, making a little go a long way, but there is no shortage of fond memories that he left behind.
